PROJEKT MOJO – Video Single “Ride On” to be Released on January 3, 2025

On January 3, 2025, the first Friday of the new year, PROJEKT MOJO will release their debut single “Ride On”. The Dark-Country-Electronica duo, consisting of Robert-Averkios Antonsen and Ulf Müller, will unveil the song alongside a music video. The release includes the original version as well as an instrumental track and will be published through the German indie label ECHOZONE.

Founded in the summer of 2024, PROJEKT MOJO blends the musical influences of its two members. Robert-Averkios Antonsen, known for bands such as LIQUID GREY and MOJO THOOTH, contributed the vocals, guitar parts, and lyrics to the track. Ulf Müller, founder of the Alternative Synthpop project PROJEKT ICH, brings his expertise in electronic music production to the collaboration.

The partnership began when Ulf discovered Robert’s side project MOJO THOOTH and envisioned creating a song together. “Ride On” came to life within a few days, combining Robert’s lyrics and vocals with Ulf’s electronic arrangements into a cohesive piece.

“Ride On” merges the gritty style of Dark Country with lush electronic soundscapes. The track tells a story of determination and struggle, set against a desert backdrop. Lines like “Ride on, ride on – this gun is all I own” evoke themes of loneliness and independence, which are central to the song’s atmosphere.

With this debut release, PROJEKT MOJO offers a glimpse into their distinctive sound, shaped by their diverse musical backgrounds. The duo plans to continue their collaboration and further develop the style of PROJEKT MOJO in the future.

Am 3. Januar 2025, dem ersten Freitag des neuen Jahres, veröffentlicht PROJEKT MOJO ihre Debüt-Single „Ride On“. Das Dark-Country-Electronica-Duo, bestehend aus Robert-Averkios Antonsen und Ulf Müller, präsentiert den Song zusammen mit einem Musikvideo. Neben der Originalversion wird auch eine Instrumentalversion erscheinen. Die Single wird über das deutsche Indielabel ECHOZONE veröffentlicht.

PROJEKT MOJO wurde im Sommer 2024 gegründet und verbindet die musikalischen Einflüsse der beiden Bandmitglieder. Robert-Averkios Antonsen, bekannt durch Bands wie LIQUID GREY und MOJO THOOTH, steuert den Gesang, die Gitarrenparts und den Songtext bei. Ulf Müller, Gründer des Alternative Synthpop-Projekts PROJEKT ICH, bringt seine Erfahrung in der elektronischen Musikproduktion ein.

Die Zusammenarbeit begann, als Ulf auf Roberts Nebenprojekt MOJO THOOTH aufmerksam wurde und die Idee zu einem gemeinsamen Song entwickelte. „Ride On“ entstand innerhalb weniger Tage: Roberts Texte und Gesang ergänzen sich dabei mit Ulfs elektronischen Arrangements.

„Ride On“ kombiniert den rauen Stil des Dark Country mit elektronischen Klangflächen. Der Song erzählt eine Geschichte von Entschlossenheit und Kampfgeist vor der Kulisse einer Wüstenlandschaft. Zeilen wie „Ride on, ride on – this gun is all I own“ greifen Themen wie Einsamkeit und Unabhängigkeit auf und setzen sie in eine eindringliche musikalische Atmosphäre um.
