I am not comfortable
With having my teeth ripped out in my sleep
Or showing signs of age
Things I was certain I knew start to change

It’s all part of a cycle
I took my time but now it’s plain to see
Though this may seem hypocritical
And that my words are the last you should heed

But I saw a plane crash in more than one of my dreams
Then slowly the years passed
Now, let’s make up for giving in

We all feel it

Why am I absent at all?
We want to go out but we’re staring at screens
Put trust in your own council
Absence and change still remains to be seen

I don’t thing we’re made to conquer
Despite what I’ve heard people preach
You know it’s ok to observe
Just make sure you dive in eventually

I studied your pictures
That hung from your wall by a pin
And I sat through your lectures
Now, let’s make up for giving in
