Getting Reminders by Efterklang
Efterklang's latest single, "Getting Reminders," coincides with the premiere of the new documentary 'Efterklang: The Makedonium Band' at this year's CPH:DOX film festival in Copenhagen. The documentary, filmed and directed by Andreas Johnsen, features a prominent role for "Getting Reminders”. In a poignant and memorable scene the song is performed live for a very attentive security guard in a shopping center and, later on, also for the President of North Macedonia.
"Getting Reminders" is not like most Efterklang songs. It unfolds as a surprisingly intimate piece, with Casper Clausen's vocals and acoustic guitar taking the lead. It’s an exciting new sound for the ever-evolving band, and on this new single, they also welcome Zach Condon (Beirut), whose trumpet beautifully contributes to the warm and captivating sonic tapestry.
