The Meditation by Electric Chaman
A few years ago I started playing live music as a guest musician in vocal yoga, harmonic gesture and dance workshops.
It is always a great experience to feel the energy of the group and to be part of this energy with the music. It is a live exploration of the interactions with the dancers, as well as an opportunity to try new sounds, new rhythms, new inspirations.
"The Meditation" is the result of putting all these experiences together, trying to recreate the feelings, the energies I felt in these workshops. And to go beyond... from overall consciousness to void.
On this album, I seeked for organic and natural music. Music that draws inspiration from the body and its organs, from its repeated and yet all different movements. Music that also wants to question the mind. Music that invites reflection, a spiritual journey.
I hope you enjoy this peaceful journey.
