Modern Primitive by Elite Force
Several years before writing this album, I'd moved to an old farmhouse in the heart of the Kent Countryside. At the same time the music I was making had become a little grittier, whilst my life had become a lot more pastoral, and hence the concept of Modern:Primitve was born. It seemd like the perfect encapsulation of what often felt like two distinct lives - the racy DJ world of club culture, and the quiet contemplation of the farm.
On this album, I allowed myself full reign to engage my poetic side. With club music I always to shy away for vocals in what I play & what I make, but they are an important part of my musical canon and here they get play without judgement from 'the floor'.
