Expectations shattered on the ground.
The rusted walls collapse from my weight.
I can’t get up from the wreck I created.

I would tear the thoughts out if I could.
Straight out from my skull if I thought it would
Clear the haze searing in my eyes
A wall to hide the grey of the night.

Laying on the broken wall in shame
The rusted metal clean through my side
If I tear free the flow would end my fight
But that way out’s the wide path

I walk streets with no direction
Bleeding out, sick, infected
Driven by a need for distance
Miles can’t unchain me from my mind


I’m the one who’s walking,
but you did right to die
