EXOCIETY returns to the fray after debuting #71 on Billboard Top Current Album sales and their award winning 32 city tour last year, with an updated roster and a new project, SHIFT!. Celebrating their 10 year anniversary, the rap guild delivers a jam-packed sampler, displaying their natural versatility in genre from LoFi, to Pop, to Trap. EXO-riginals Rav, Scuare, Kill Bill: The Rapper and Rekcahdam are now joined by new members love-sadKiD, meltycanon and no1mportant for a masterclass of intimate lyricism.
SHIFT! marks the beginning of an exciting era, featuring personality in droves akin to Odd Future, and swagger of A Tribe Called Quest. Amassing over 700 Million combined streams, while operating independently out of their bedrooms for 10+ years as an informal guild and not a label, EXO continues to forge a path that defies the traditional industry blueprint.
Figureheads Rav and Kill Bill: The Rapper have reached #84 and #45 on Billboard top current album sales respectively, and have held Bandcamp #1 for nearly every project release in the past 8 years. Accomplished hacker, game developer (Celestial Mechanica) and drummer (Steven Universe), Rekcahdam teases us with another glimpse of greatness and solidifies his spot on EXO-Rushmore with his verse on "SABRINA" and production on "TAR". After a decade of collaboration, Scuare is reunited with new exo addition no1mportant; a duo with 7 amazing albums between the 2 of them, and the artists behind the experimental project "...&More...". They electrify tracks like "Final Boss" and "Crown" with their seamless chemistry. Artisan of his craft, meltycanon is a household name in many circles (Awful Records affiliate, DRAM collaborator), flexing his genreless capabilities on tracks like "Out of Body" and "Unstable Baby". Poster child of the 2017 LoFi scene, love-sadKiD (collabed with mxmtoon, Samsa) brings their wholesome and relatable rap alongside flamboyant vocals to songs like "Headphones" and "Bet I Can.”
