Reasons from Moon Balloon by Expendable Friend

It's dark, it's cold, I've had a long day and I'm not feeling up to it
I'm broke, yeah, and that's not a place I could ever afford to frequent

I know it's a pattern
And it isn't the first time
But I won't be joining you all out tonight

Still I've kind of not got past what happened at New Year
But I would rather not make a big scene with everyone there

I know that it's stupid
And I ought to draw a line

And besides I should really be drinking a bit less
It's no good for my health

And I have this book that I'm reading - it's too good to put it down
And with all my other reasons for not coming into town

I might as well read that
