Reflective Companion is a sci-fi audio series that takes place in a speculative imagining of so-called Los Angeles. Amidst global panic to reduce toxic emissions, the U.S. government has ordered a ban on electronic devices from citizens' use and possession. Cell phones, computers, radios, etc. All are confiscated during nightly police raids. Social activity is monitored through continuous drone surveillance.

Local governments and private companies still maintain authority and use electronic devices. These applications are deemed ‘essential’ to crumbling societal and economic infrastructure. Each year corporations and medical groups launch a limited number of ‘test programs’ - the only way citizens can participate and gain access to the use of new and pre-existing technologies.

One of these programs, marketed as a mental health experiment, is called the Reflective Companion, a tool marketed to greatly reduce one's personal suffering.

Leslie Jade (LJ) tells the story of navigating this new world and their experience as a test subject with a Reflective Companion implant.
