“The production throughout ADHD was conjured up in the midst of a difficult time in my life, one which I still endure to this day. I’ve been deeply struck in a battle against depression, and this album introduced itself as the catalyst for a way to be able to properly vent my emotions that could no longer submerge themselves within my subconscious. These beats act as another extension of my being and were constructed to exude every emotion as humanly possible. These soundscapes were also created to serve as the blade Xhef adorned himself with, engulfing him with the emotive fuel he needed to push through the turmoil. Pregnant with ideas, emotion, and detail, everything erupted from intricacy; I wanted everything to leave as much of an impact as the writing itself. With our collaborative efforts bringing the best out of our artistry, I am eternally grateful for Xhef, as he provided the canvas for me to insert every single thought I had in mind. What once commenced as a daunting task, nearing the finality of such an era created a deeper tunnel of self-realization, leading to the beats creating an emotional conclusion that coincided with Xhef’s poetry. A lot of mental territory remains unscathed, but this can be perceived as a step in the right direction; the idea of selecting a probably path to freedom. I hope that what is offered can speak to you in an intimate way, or at least invoke something in you that aligns with the themes of such a project, because our goal is to spark relatability amidst despair. I think my contempt for the normalization of the mindless consumption of art has reached a boiling point. Adhd is my loudest most confrontational and direct statement to be paid attention to as an artist yet, above all. I can only ask that you the listener do not write off the concepts and themes presented as abstract for the sake of it and try to understand the experience as a synodoche of a greater condition and interpretation of mental illness. There are pieces of me buried in this project that I will never get back and there are pices of me buried in this project that will never leave me. While many producers came to mind as I was initially toying with the concept of building a musical experience around vocals and acepellas, Milenium was in hindsight the only choice for the job. My experience with their debut work WIREPULLER ( which was done in collaboration with the incredible UURYDON ), subconsciously set in motion the sequence of thoughts that led to ADHD. It freed a part of my mind and made me dream bigger. For that project and this my appreciation and respect for their craft is immense and deep. Working with me every step of the way to resurrect soundscapes from my series of deftly interweaving, demonstrably intense and thinly connected spoken word passages was no easy task and its not something I think could be replicated. Theres a transparency to this project I have been chasing my whole career as an artist. I think it captures a feeling of hearing another language you have only a beginner understanding of being spoken to you directly, begging for help to be understood. I hope that you all can take time and space to understand this project, thank you all. Most special eternal thanks to Milenium, lil figurative, brother gaia, herretic, heircules and jose for providing the sounds, mixes, artwork and music video editing and shooting to bring this project to life. Im really grateful this exists :) this project might as well be self titled
