Gruta LP by Barda

Barda enters Fértil's musical universe and puts out seven top-nocht tracks in an album entitled 'Gruta'. Keeping a minimalist approach over danceable beats, Cecilia Gebhard invites us to a mental journey through Argentinian fictional caverns and stages, where the güiro combines cumbia with mountains, where ukulele strings are mixed with Latin percussive sounds as the poetry and voice of the singer WENCESLADA meddle in the nu-folk song world in 'Nudo de un Árbol'.
Special mention deserves the sound of the didgeridoo executed by Yoco Perez de Arce, at the beginning of the LP, generating a darkly energetic, furious yet intimate atmosphere.
Near the end of 'Gruta', the labyrinth of the fictional cave opens onto divergent paths in the tripartite track entitled 'Prismas en la Montaña (I, II, III)' and SidiRum, another new Argentinean talents, offers its 'Núcleo' remix with luminous, deep, surround sounds: a breath of fresh air.
