Mirtazapine Dreams by Fflwcs

My car is the only place I can listen to CDs. Every so often we swap the CDs that have been in the car for ages. A few months ago I put Moloko's Do You Like My Tight Sweater?, Cerys Matthews' Cockahoop and Björk's Post in the car and, man alive I've never been so inspired.

Something about listening to these three albums did something to me. I started off making beats, choosing movie samples, and experimenting with samples.

This album is everything I love in the world, all smashed together. Disparate things all smooshed into one until they go. I imagined Cerys, Björk, and Róisín (with whom I share a surname) getting in a time machine to go to Studio 54 - but Studio 54 has its own time machine where they can get 90s 12 inch records.

This album also features three of my best friends: Rani, Tamsin, and GT. I'm a folk band with them, we're called Every Home Should Have One.

Cerys made me realise I should be celebrating my Welshness. So I did.
Björk made me realise you should explore every genre and type of music you like. So I did.
Róisín made me realise you can take a tiny little idea, and make it into something glorious. So I did. I hope.

I wish I could actually go to Studio 54 with these three icons, sadly I don't have a time machine.

This is the best thing I have ever made.
