This song is about how people can so quickly and readily disconnect from you, throwing you behind in the dust and leaving, especially after getting so close and gaining your trust. You think all the effort you put in is reciprocated and are happy to have someone who you think genuinely cares about you, only for them to disappear in the blink of an eye, without dilemma. It makes you feel insignificant, and worth nothing. While with them, you felt special and felt like you had a good impact on peoples’ lives, but it all comes crashing down.

Recovery is an important and gradual process, in which a person heals these wounds using time and a positive mind set, cutting themselves off from toxic peers and negative energy. It is similar to a road filled with potholes, the ride is not completely smooth and there are bumps along the way. We come up and start to feel better, but feel as if we have failed and come crashing back down when we fall back into old habits and tendencies. It is okay to trip up sometimes, we cannot completely recover perfectly in a short time. The people fighting this war are strong and some of the best kinds of people, being able to plough through and keep going amidst the challenges life throws at them.
