Enamored by the electric guitar after hearing classic rock as a child, Forest Bailey’s musical path made a sudden turn. These days, Bailey relies on an unorthodox technique that involves using the body of a steel string acoustic to create melody, harmony, and percussion all at once. This “percussive fingerstyle” technique draws out the full range of an acoustic guitar’s sonic possibilities.
