Tokyo's Downstate arrives on Forgot Imprint with Hypoxia Sunrise-a 15 track album of ambient and frostbitten techno with influences from Boards of Canada. The album can be seen as a concept album about dying on Mt. Everest, and to me, the bardo's journey after death.

The 15 songs flow like a personal narrative of loss, the last moment of the consciousness before it ascends from the body and flows onward. And the beauty of the sun beating down on a snow ridden mountain as the body dies and the spirit watches it.
