there's a helicopter I've seen that's been searching
just outside my peripheral vision
and though theres no indication it's a threat to me
the eye in the sky is a witness to everything

I wake to the sound of gunshots on the street
but when I get to my window theres nothing to be seen

the witch doctor will save you from your sick brain
and all the sick ideas that it entertains
if you've ever had your doubt about prescription
you should sample the fix that kicks you into fiction

now she's a silhouette dancing in the sun
burning through their minds
to her they will succumb

and though their eyes were pointing in the same direction at the time
they didn't see the same thing
they learned a different lesson from the light
off into the distance
a line of disciples hypnotised offer up their soft minds
to the open jaws of a crocodile

it's not worth your while
it brings me no surprise that he just smiles

a slide projector turns in the basement of his dream
but there's no reason to wake up so he might as well take a seat
