Jackie World by MB03
Jackie World is a collection of footwork tracks by young Chicagoan MB03. On it, he displays a unique sensibility for musicality and harmony in his delicate choice of hooks and cuts from his sampled material. His syncopated, jittering rhythms show a daring, spontaneous approach to production. But MB03 plays no tricks, and unabashedly chooses to express what is tormenting his soul, resulting in a heartfelt expression of grief, curiosity and hope. Club as well as closer home listening is recommended for this earnest musical statement.
