"Luna & Tarnovski" by Laura Luna Castillo (Baba Vanga) and Jara Tarnovski (Gurun Gurun, Jipangu, Wabi Experience, Prosoxi Skylos, IQ+1) was sourced and refined from an impromptu collab recorded deep into the night in front of a sleeping audience. Making use of ambiguous harmonies, and a careful, almost timid treatment of the sound material, a dreamlike drifting results, an illusion of slow moving, like an unearthly commute slowly chuffing along from on station to another, each zone rich in new resonances, the tones gradually shifting to expose additional interferences, emerging vibrations that might as well be cooked up by a tranquil, sedated Giacinto Scelsi. The end result is a patiently steered flight of imagination over a delicate landscape of textures and proportions.
