George Hurd is a composer whose music focuses on classical music, electronic music & finding ways to bring the two together. His work fixates on location & memory, using electronic sounds made entirely by him, recorded on his travels, each encapsulating a memory from the place/time they were recorded. He leads The Hurd Ensemble, an electroacoustic chamber group dedicated to performing his work.
