This first Split EP from Forest and GAUSS represents their take on modern trance music. Each track, while belonging to a specific sub-genre, shares a distinct primitive and organic touch. From heady and menacing synths to tribal and movement-inducing percussion, each composition is crafted to convey both emotions and the urge to move.

Venomous Dub is a versatile track blending warm undertones and fluttering swampy sounds with old riddim vocals.

Water Lilies is a bass-driven goa-inspired track featuring airy synths and percussion that echoes like aquatic ripples, creating a fluid and hypnotic soundscape.

Inward spiral is a rather maximalist deep techno track tightly packed down based around a glitchy forest atmosphere that is slowly closing down on you.

Amber Haze is a trance track evoking a misty sunrise over marshlands, blending tribal rythms, trippy harmonies, and a deep psy bass enriched by atmospheric FX.

In keeping with the organic minimalism that defines Geosmine's visual identity, Arroyo designed an artwork incorporating Pre-Columbian and Gothic art influences, centered around reptile figures.

Geosmine is a Paris-based label that aims to showcase a diverse spectrum of modern electronic music, ranging from trance to dub, and from experimental to club, with a strong emphasis on sound design and texture.
