Stargirl from Little Songs by Grace Kendall
I almost didn't include this song; I wrote the words and melody in high school and feel a little distanced from it as a result. But it's about a book called Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli, which I love, and whose companion book (Love, Stargirl) I adore even more. Again, references are pretty blatant if you're familiar with the subject matter.
