Halloween by Meryl and Ian Thomson

We recorded these dances for a themed Halloween Ball for the Duke of Wellington's Dancers at Rownhams House, Southampton in October 2022.

The Old Spedling Castle's Ghost's Dance does not have an associated dance but gives the chance to choose your own dance figures for a 32 bar dance. (This tune was also recorded on our album Gang on the Same Gate for a 4x32 bar Scottish Country Dance).

All tracks apart from Le Chat Noir (2 fiddles and piano) have been recorded on 2 fiddles only.

We have included original instructions for all the dances in a PDF file as a bonus item for people buying the album

Cas, Ian and Meryl have played together for over 40 years for English and Scottish country dance, ceilidh dancing and later for historical dance events,

We do a lot of research into historical dance music and are continually finding new dances to introduce into the dancing repertoire.

We always have great fun playing and hope this is communicated to the audience, be it dancers or spectators.
