Only Memories by greetings
At long last, Greetings… has returned with their second LP, titled Only Memories. The nine-song record offers windows into formative moments— the kind where you can’t help but click an imaginary shutter in your mind to capture every detail. Daniel Carr’s vivid lyrics and pristine production create a blissful surreality of crystalline recollection, almost like journaling about a lucid dream. "Only Memories" feels like it was crafted in that liminal space between dreaming and sleeplessness, between full presence and fond memory. Toeing that line, these songs are Daniel’s finest display yet of lyrics and melodies, all cloaked in a warm analog haze. This fabric of time is breathing, yes, expanding and enfolding as we change— as we adapt to the people and world around us.
The album features Daniel’s trusty cast of collaborators— Maebe, neon amor, Ayla Loon, The Careers, Stadia, and Racktom. While Maebe and Greetings… have been in harmony for over a decade, they’ve never sounded more locked in to each other’s grooves. Together, they sift through an eternal memory box and share the gifts of love, of reflection, of peace.
