The Waiting by Greg Gobel

The Waiting is a lo-fi EP revealing spiritual, country, psychedelia, and folk-influenced songs about love, death, and hope. The delicate, angelic voice of Ana Lopez features throughout the record. The songs on 'The Waiting' are: Answer, A Spot Well Defined, To Pieces, Song, Cocoon, Wipe Away.

Most of this album was recorded on one day in august 2009; mixed and mastered in July and August 2012, with a few extra tracks recorded. Although playing several of these songs around the local juke joints of Madrid over the past years, Greg chose not to complete these recordings back in 2009. Changing his mind in the summer of 2012 while recording his new full-length album, Impermanence, Greg decided to dust these songs off and let them surface in their skeletal form, capturing a moment in time from three years earlier.
