Duppy Dance by Haskk
In the middle of Kwan lays the mountains of whispers and there lives the dreaded ogre called Kolov.He lives alone in the house of his parents alongside of a mushroom patch so once every month Kolov goes to his room and takes the mushrooms and hallucinates about having a normal life.
He had no idea that there was a possibility that he could have a bad trip.This night he captured some fireflies and put them in a bottle then put a lid on the bottle and used that as his nightlight,he then drank some mushroom tea which was his mom's favorite recipe.He then went outside,sat in his rocking chair and after some time passed,he saw this fire on the other side of the mountain which made him curious.
He then ventured to the other side of the mountain looking to see what was going on and he saw these 4 figures dancing which made him go closer as he was always alone up in the mountain side.
The four figures revealed themselves to Kolov as the enchantress(Stori),the drunken monk(Monk),the priest of the dead (Ghxxst) and the wanderer of the earth(Mar).
The wanderer was the first to approach Kolov and they sat by the fire he told him about the time he met the winged one called Herma and the conversations they had about how life is,as they got deeper in the conversation they colder the area became as the wanderer told him how life could hold you down and be very unfair,Kolov related because he has been living up in the mountains for his whole life with no friends.
The drunken and clinically depressed Monk quickly joined in to speak about him grim realities and how life treats him.Then they soon started talking about their fav ice creams and how that lightens up their day.Kolov politely but enthusiastically speaks on how he likes snails with his ice cream to much of the wanderer's distaste.
The enchantress then grabs Kolov and takes him to see the moonlight from the highest point on the mountain closest to them,she wants to lighten his mood and make him feel a lot better.They sat and began talking about their lives,she tells him about her powers to change someone's mood at whim,Kolov asked for a demonstration and then she kissed him.His ears suddenly stood up straight and suddenly the moonlight was no longer pale.
Going back to the fireplace there was still a depression hanging on the atmosphere but suddenly the wanderer got up and told his story again but this time he spoke about it in a way like he held victory over life itself.Kolov questioned this and he said it was because he's still alive and fighting.
The priest walked up to them and said life is a matter of how you look at it and your perspective is what guides the world.He said that everyone has the power to make the sun shine on the inside even though when you look out the window pane it may be raining.
Kolov now started to feel empowered unlike before which makes the enchantress smile.She then walks up to him and kisses him again but this time he falls to sleep as she says "In the darkness,I see the light."
As he fell into the enchanted sleep,the priest used his powers to carry Kolov back to his home and places him in his bed.
He awoke in his room believing he had simply been sleep walking and hallucinating as he was in the same clothes from the day before but remembered sitting in his rocking chair.The only other difference is that he now feels uplifted and more empowered.
