Miles by Raus

Following on from his self released single The Great Flood and a stint performing live and recording material with Spartak throughout 2013, electronic popster Raus brings us Miles - his debut release on hellosQuare and in anticipation of a mini-album in Spring 2014.

A short and sharp burst built on a bubbling bassline and clicky rhythms, Miles was recorded primarily on his own with additional production help from hellosQuare boss Shoeb Ahmad and mixing by Canberra guitar'n'glitch sound artist Reuben Ingall.

On the flip-side, a key lieutenant here at hellosQuare - the genius of Evan Dorrian from Spartak and Pollen Trio - turns in a lush, stepping rework that cuts and contorts the original into a minimalist groove amongst ambient bliss.
