Today I destroyed something beautiful
I tore down this Eden Id been living in
I let all the joy we had shatter on the floor
And the pieces cut into my skin
They cut into my skin

Today I denied something marvelous
I couldnt see all the beauty Id been living in
I shattered empty bottles from which I tasted carelessness
And the pieces cut into my skin
They cut into my skin

And the scars of my mistakes are all written on my body
And I cant face the man in the mirror
So Ill pick up these shards from the floor
And try to make from this mess something beautiful

Today Ive been offered forgiveness
Despite all this hell that I placed you in
