Dormant by Hoax Hunters

Hoax Hunters follow up their pointed political single SAD! with an EP about art. The three songs triangulate the theme of “art matters” via Russian and American scientists sending messages into space, getting to know someone through music and books, and exploring the work of surrealist artists. At first this may not seem like the type of music you would expect from a band like Hoax Hunters a year into the Trump era, but without art we don’t exist.

On this recording Hoax Hunters are PJ Sykes, Ben Nicastro, Greg Garner. Featuring Ottawa, Ontario–based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Catriona Sturton on harmonica.

Drawing comparisons to underground heroes like Minutemen, Hüsker Dü, and Dag Nasty, Hoax Hunters have been washing Richmond, VA and surrounding areas in feedback, drawing crowds for their infectious tunes, and their explosive and unhinged live shows.
