Tan by Humdrum Sun

I want to live in a little tan house
that I don't have to clean
and I don't have to leave until I die
I want to leap into the middle of the night
sever all ties
and take the darkness into my eyes

paint it all tan

I forgot the PIN to my debit card at Food Pyramid
I tried to recall the digits as I drove on home
I crossed under a bridge with a man living under it
I looked him straight into the eyes
I thought, "man I feel sorry about your predicament,"
but I'm headed home to sit alone in my house

grocery-less with a self-frozen account
I tried to realize what it was
my soul sucked into the paint on my wall
what a beautiful shade of tan
I see it everywhere
so much it coats the inside of my brain

paint it all tan
