FIGHT by IAN SWEET

After releasing last year’s critically acclaimed album, Show Me How You Disappear, IAN SWEET’s creative force, Jilian Medford, hasn’t slowed down in the slightest.

Following the album’s release, Medford covered Coldplay’s “Yellow” and recreated the song’s iconic music video with remarkable accuracy, which caught the attention of Coldplay themselves who shared it on Twitter. The dance-heavy single, “f*ckthat,” followed soon after, which has since become a fan favorite at shows.

The newest offering, “FIGHT,” is the perfect followup - a huge song full of big, immediate hooks that rivals anything heard on today’s Top 40 pop radio. On “FIGHT,” Medford drew inspiration from Sheryl Crow and Cocteau Twins, with lyrics that touch on the monotonous feelings of a failing pandemic relationship, as well as the feelings of heartbreak and catastrophe she experienced towards its end.
