Introducing "Surfaces" by IJO: Celebrating 20 Years of Musical Evolution

Hey there,

I am thrilled to share the news about my latest album, "Surfaces." This year holds a special place in my heart as it marks the 20-year anniversary since I first stepped into the music scene. Back in 2003, I had the privilege of releasing my debut album on my friend's Surfaces net-label, which inspired the album's title itself.

"Surfaces" is an 8-track mini album that takes you on a nostalgic journey to the golden era of the 90s. Drawing influences from old school jungle, drum 'n' bass, and instrumental jazzy hip-hop, I wanted to showcase my versatility and pay homage to the genres that shaped me as an artist.

Throughout these incredible two decades, I have had the honor of sharing the stage with some of my musical heroes. The likes of Luke Vibert, Remarc, Guy Called Gerald, Funkstorung, Plaid, Krome, and Time, Paradox to name a few, have been a tremendous source of inspiration for me. Their influence has fueled my growth as a musician and pushed me to explore new horizons.

Music has not only been my passion; it has connected me with amazing individuals and allowed me to travel to different countries, sharing my art with different cultures. The experiences I've had and the friends I've made along the way are priceless.

"Surfaces" is a testament to my dedication, perseverance, and unwavering love for music. It encapsulates the evolution I've gone through over the past 20 years, while honoring the artists and genres that have shaped my identity.
