Cancion Uno from EP 01 by Rulitos
Otherwise known as “Song One.” Go figure, this is the first song I really worked on. Is it ripping off Elliott Smith? Duster? Grouper? Yes. But it didn’t at first, because it was Spanish. Hence the title. But it sounded better in English, so I didn’t overthink it. The song wanted to be in English. So I translated and re-worked the lyrics, then I went to a baseball game on the 4th of July and ate hot dogs and teared up when the B2 stealth bomber flew over the stadium.
