Autumnal by In Ruin
The "Autumnal" EP seamlessly unites fresh compositions and recurring themes from existing In Ruin tracks, capturing the evocative ambiance of the fall season. Blending both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, this instrumental dark ambient release beautifully encapsulates solitary moments within a woodland, amidst leaves whispering in the wind. The album then ebbs and flows, at various points exploring eerie sensations of a twilight stroll on All Hallows Eve, the spine-tingling atmosphere of a graveyard in the dead of night, and the unmistakable chill of an early-season frost that cruelly grips the final vestiges of life just before winter's icy dominion.
Imagine "Autumnal" as the haunting musical backdrop to an as-yet-imagined folk horror movie, where themes of loss, solitude, and the sinister facets of nature come to life, evoking dread and apprehension from the very moment leaves begin to fall.
