Fat rolls move in retrograde.

The broken morning light
cuts my hand as I
stare at them and wonder.

Waves break like my frame.
Grow old to feel pain
settle bluntly in your bones.

Sugar yields to tongue,
air doesn't fill my lungs
quite like it used to.

It's been a horrible time and I apologize.

Running up that hill!
Catching breath at will;
catch as catch can.

Things start to improve,
then the tides start to move:
once dry now drowning.

Fire burns the bridge.
I stand at the ridge
hoping tears can douse it.

Hanging off the bough,
nothing matters now,
this will never go away.

It's been a horrible time - I apologize.
