"Machines meet nature on this EP, partly built around field recordings of ice movements on a frozen lake. On the A-side, Sagastyr is the sound of an arctic volcano to a pounding beat. Ambrym serves its icy soundscape with jacking drum patterns, and the closing Mamula takes it deeper again with drones, grains and vintage drums."
