confluent edges from penelope by jacob wolos
this piece was commissioned by my alma mater in the beginning of 2019, and was created as two separate cassette loops, each with half of the vocals and sound elements, and a sculpture. the cassettes were slightly out of time and speed from one another, so would quickly de-sync.
it was written as a memory about my time visiting the green line of cyprus.
the sculpture was two copies of the same bust, made during my time at university, both perfectly the same in some spots and yet each copied with stark irregularities due to the casting process used.
