Africa Motherland by Jeffrey L. Richardson
Africa Motherland reflects on the power of Pan-Africanism as an idea central to the unification of Africa and building ties between the continent and all people of African descent around the world. The song emphasizes that the fight to break the psychological, social, and economic chains of the transatlantic slave trade, colonialism, neocolonialism, and imperialism must continue and accelerate. Unity is key, and African people must resist and challenge all attempts to maintain and/or expand the domination of Black life and hopes by Western nations and all opponents of the full liberation of African people and the African Diaspora.
