Skylark EP by Jennifer Maslin feat. David Hall, Paul Beeching & Andy Hall

Recorded overlooking a panoramic view of the idyllic Kentish countryside, it seemed only fitting to name the EP after it’s title track!

Each of these three tracks has great meaning to me and my own development in jazz. Recording them with such fantastic musicians was the icing on the cake – or perhaps more appropriately – the feather in the cap!

The EP features:

* Skylark – A soaring vocal and violin rendition of Mercer and Carmichael’s jazz ballad.

* All Blues – An atmospheric take on Miles Davis’ masterpiece, with words by contemporary Oscar Brown Jr.

* I'm Beginning to See the Light – A vibrant, joyful cover of the swing favourite, whose playful creators simultaneously competed for number one with rival recordings.
