Osiyo.
This is the first album I wrote while recording, rather than having all the songs written prior to going into the studio. Some of these songs were created on tour, but mostly these were improv, first take songs.
Listen for the crickets, rainstorms, and the breathing of sleeping babies in the background.
Reconstructing a language lost for generations of people is something that happens one word seed, one song, and dream, at a time. "Osiyo" is our Cherokee word for "Hello."
This album is everywhere online, but only here on bandcamp do you get the lyrics included in your sound file downloads, so that they can be viewed in your fancy listening device.
