Although the relentless groove is evident in this song, what is completely overlooked is the clever placement of lyrics over the bar lines.
The song has multiple connotations when read in this specific fashion:
For example -in the chorus-'... a place to rest my mind will stray....'
The phrase 'my mind' serves as both an ending and beginning to two separate phrases-
'a place to rest my mind' and 'my mind will stray'.
Likewise throughout the chorus, the lyrics can be read backwards and upside-down, having a totally different meaning.
....in fact this happens seventeen times in different combinations, forming secret acrostic messages only for the initiated.
The 'Scarface' quote- '...say hello to my little friend!' was a
tribute of sorts that fit the zaniness of the moment and sheds
light into the song's inner meaning dealing with different psychological pathos.
And finally, it is also reputed that by slowing the song exactly by three fourth's and turning off the volume every second bar a very potent home remedy for dandruff is achieved when listening three times to the song in this fashion.
