White Road by Jon Camp

White Road was a gravel road connected to my childhood neighborhood in Antioch, Illinois. I’d often take long late evening walks down it, marveling at the night sky and occasionally getting spooked by the creatures scurrying around in the bushes. This mostly undeveloped terrain was magical and meaningful to me, and I lamented when years later, the vast majority of it was bulldozed for new housing.

My guitar playing and songwriting have grown since 1998, but I’d like to think that this snapshot of a younger me is worthy of being heard. I hope you’ll agree.

Jon Camp is a fingerstyle guitarist and composer from the Washington, DC region. He blends twang, drone, and melody into a cohesive whole that is exploratory without forsaking the hook.
