Following her critically acclaimed album, PRE PLEASURE, Melbourne’s Julia Jacklin has returned with a beautiful cover of the cult classic song, “Shivers.” Written by Rowland S. Howard and originally released by Howard and Nick Cave’s early band The Boys Next Door, Jacklin’s version of the tune accompanies the release of a new book about legendary Australian producer Tony Cohen (Half Deaf, Completely Mad) as well as a new compilation featuring songs that were originally recorded by Cohen.
Other Australian artists featured on the compilation include Leah Senior, RVG, Grace Cummings, and CIVIC and has been put together by the book’s writer, John Olson.
Co-produced by Jacklin and 4x ARIA Award winner Wayne Connolly, “Shivers” holds a special place in Jacklin’s heart, as it was one of the first songs she ever covered at an open mic night during the start of her career.
