Radio Transmission by June Lopez
Radio Transmission centers around my memory, and the art of bending sound. My first encounter with ambient music was my frequent visits to Third Street Jazz in the mid-’80s as a kid my father used to take me there every Saturday morning to buy cassettes and records. I would visit Garland of Letters on South Street after a long day of work where you can buy singing bowls, authentic hand-made dream catchers, drums, wind chimes, didgeridoos, flutes, and essential oils. The place provided me with the works of worldwide artists that were easily accessible from Yahni, Andreas Vollenweider, Brian Eno, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Manuel Göttsching E2E4.
On the radio in the early, never mind lol ~ Chuck van Zyl is a local artist on STAR'S END (WXPN's renowned radio program of space music dreamscapes) was a heavy influence after a heavy evening of club Dj set. The music was simply my safe haven -whenever I would put on my headphones and close my eyes.
That was it!!!!
After my performance with Black Patches one morning _ I decided to record this and give it another pass -- it’s very therapeutic after listening to it. Music truly improved my emotions during my treatment with cancer, and as I channel this energy into these live performances. The sky is the limits - I look forward to more but for now, take this first journey with me on Radio Transmissions so come an explore these sounds that surround us

The clock came from various sources in the case, an expert sleeper distant mk4, IO Instruments Himalia RYO Penta, TipTop z5000, Erica Synth Pico DSP, Mutable Instruments Clouds x2, wrong electronics sound stage, Happy Nerding 2xSAM, OUT, Intellijel Mixup, ALM MCO, Intellijel Dixie II was used to launch various samples
