I am thankful for a lot of things like saving me from eternal death. I am thankful for the breath of life God has given me each day. I am also thankful for God’s goodness and mercy that endures forever.
Giving thanks to God is something we Christians do to praise God in what He has done in our lives. It’s a form of worship, and giving thanks reminds us to have faith in Him for all the things He has brought us through. As we remember the things God has given us, we love the Lord.
Ultimately, thanking the Lord pleases God. When God is pleased He will bless us, and He doesn’t run out of blessings to give! He just keeps on blessing us because God is Good.
Our God is merciful and tender.
He will cause the bright dawn of salvation to rise on us and to shine from heaven on all those who live in the dark shadow of death,
to guide our steps into the path of peace.”
