A song about cosmogenesis and the birth of the realms, as well as the doom of destruction preordained and brought about by the same creative forces. It is described in terms of the primal forces of fire and ice uniting in the void (Ginungagap) and the worlds' downfall by the sons of Surtr and their allies of chaos, revealed to Odhinn in the Eddic poem Voluspa.
