8 Directions from Cicada by Kid Orchid
This is the first song I wrote on piano. It's about 10 years old, and I rewrote the 2nd movement in the last year. I recorded it on a mason and risch spinet that I got for 40$ off kijiji.
The central theme is about never letting go of a lost love one. I saw a reel once with Andrew Garfield discussing how his grief of his lost mother keeps her with him in a good way. it was really positive and powerful. I was thinking about this and my mother-in-law who we lost in 2018.
