Renascence by KiloWatts

Spring hails the return of abstract audio adventurer and HD mainstay KiloWatts. Known for his melodic compositions and logic defying sound manipulations KiloWatts has left his signature on record labels like Om, Mothership, and Thoughtless and has been a huge contributor to the early HD catalog. Earlier this year KiloWatts unleashed his 11th solo artist album Synthetic Vibrations. In common step, the album was a perfect mixture of live piano and a manage of synthetic devices. We fell in love with a b-side with brawn and are excited to offer it to you with two excellent remixes by Houston, Tx’s Josiah Fontenot.

Renascence is a rolling slow burn with airy tines that dance into rolling percussion. Funk patterns executed with new guard synths add a natural swing to the build. Attentive patience lures the build into full musical moments. Uplifting pianos and staggered leads swirl into an audio mesh that drifts the listener to conclusion. Josiah takes the tempo faster with a proper 4/4 techno reinvention. Josiah uses the elements to create powerful spaces in the original mix and deliver main floor tool with depth. Josiah’s Elektric Mix dives deeper with electro breaks and washed out accents. Heavy bottom end prevails in this sturdy mover. To close the project out James has offered us a pensive ambient piece with delayed droplets and mounting symphonics with Sunrise.
