humanity is a virus
that is killing itself

I wish the earth would open up
and swallow us all whole
relieve us from the hurt we cause
ourselves and set us free

I look around me and I see the flames
I smell the smoke
and I’m just left here wondering
if things can really get

any darker
it’s so dark
I can’t take it
and I’m gone

I don’t want to be a part of this anymore
is there any hope at all? or have we gone too far?
