This album is a departure from my previous albums. My previous albums were centred around a live band, however, this record is centred around beat making, afrobeats, and an electro afrofuturist-sound.
As a musician I feel its important to redefine myself to ensure I am pushing the boundaries creatively and personally. The album is called Radical Thoughts, the idea behind the album is that most often than not the things we call radical are usually things that make this world a better place, whether is abolition, building community, and working towards the liberation of people all over the world. Its upbeat to allow listeners to dance, its informative to allow listeners to learn, its futuristic to allow us to dream about a better future, its fun to allow is to enjoy the present, it an outpouring of my heart to the world in hopes of a better future.
I got the chance to work with amazing music producers and beatmakers in Hamilton namely Onglish, ttwwrrss, Young Dave Bangin, and Mother Tareka. Their creative beats allowed me to push my songwriting and explore new ways of telling stories.
