About this song:

Originally composed for a student-lead performance, "From The Heart : One Day, One Circle". This song is a prayer for the healing of all nations, an honouring of our past, a visioning of our future, and an acknowledgment of our interconnectedness with the Whole of Life.

A special thanks goes out to the student's of Sequoia school, Mt. Sentinel school, to Andrea Mann and to all community-contributors for their incredible courage, heart, and dedication to bringing forth a vision of reconciliation, healing and hope for us all. Thank you for encouraging each one of us to face and feel that which is deeply uncomfortable with open minds, ears and hearts, as we discover for ourselves the true meaning of reconciliation...one courageous step at a time. This song would not be here if it weren't for these students.

My deep gratitude goes out to the many indigenous wisdom traditions that have so generously blessed and transformed my life - may these wisdom-ways, rooted in profound reverence for the Earth and all Life, continue to provide a sacred template for us to re-member ourselves through, while swiftly encouraging us to reclaim our sovereignty and rightful place in the Greater Hoop.

Finally, I'd like to thank my beloved partner Cassandre for helping me in the wordsmithing of the song, for her steadfast encouragement, and for putting up with me as I oscillated through all the epic ups and downs of the song birthing process! <3

May the truth, beauty and peace in our hearts prevail, and may we find the courage to dance these virtues into our lives now, like never before!
